My first email account was through Yahoo. That was circa 1999. I always held onto it though. I’m deleting my account. Gmail is better.
Yahoo is a dinosaur. And in the everchanging world of technology, whether it be cameras, computers, or cell phones, it is survival of the fittest. The iPhone is the most widely used camera because… IT IS A DECENT CAMERA. Google is the most widely used search engine… BECAUSE IT GETS RESULTS.
Flickr is a piece of shit. I have a Flickr and the fact that I’ve given them (Yahoo) so much money kills me.
So in order to make Tumblr better you are going to monetize? Meaning you will add advertisements? Facebook sucks. Why? Because they SOLD OUT! NOW TUMBLR IS SELLING OUT!
I have made many friends here on Tumblr. Many of whom I will miss their invaluable contribution. Tumblr was about creativity. Now it is about money.
